A typical lighting installation starts with a short walk-through to confirm fixture locations, ceiling type, and whether the job is a straight swap or a new run. We shut off power at the breaker before opening any box, then check that the existing box is rated for the new fixture, a fan-rated box for a ceiling fan, a damp-rated housing for a covered porch, or a proper junction box for a pendant. If the location needs new wiring, we run cable through the attic or wall cavity, land it in the box, and make up the connections with wire nuts. From there we mount the fixture, install the trim or cover, and test it at the switch.
